Colleton County High School (formerly ''Walterboro High School'') is a public high school in Walterboro, South Carolina, USA. It is the only public high school in Colleton County and is one of the largest high schools by enrollment in the state, despite being located in a mostly rural county. ==Academics== According to data released by the South Carolina Department of Education, Colleton County High School earned a "C" letter grade for the 2013-2014 school year under the standards of the ESEA/Federal Accountability System, meeting state department of education expectations. Colleton County High School received an "average" score on the Absolute Rating and an "at risk" score on the Growth Rating metric on its 2014 annual state report card. In 2014, 84.0% of students passed the state-mandated High School Assessment Program (HSAP). The four-year graduation rate was 76.1% in 2014. The teacher retention rate was 84.2%. Based on 2014 financial data, the dollars spent per student was $6,855. In 2014, the average student-teacher ratio in core subjects was 26.2 students for every 1 teacher in core subjects. In total, 2.8% of students were enrolled in Advanced Placement courses and 6.0% of students were enrolled in career/technology courses.
